Today’s national average for gas is $3.42, up 14 cents from a month ago. As you know, those numbers always fluctuate. For this reason, I’m always looking for ways to help you save money on gas.

Protect your privacy on Gas Apps

Should you choose to use one of the Gas apps, there are ways to further protect your privacy by limiting access to your location services.

For iPhone users:

  • go to Settings
  • Tap Privacy and security
  • Tap Location Services
  • Find the relevant app
  • in the Allow access to the location tab, click When using

For Android users:

  • Swipe down from the top of the screen
  • Touch and hold location
  • Tap apermission of dd
  • Tap on the related apps
  • Switch on Only in use is allowed

Settings may vary depending on the manufacturer and software version of your Android phone.
