Singer Ellie Goulding says her fans no longer recognize her after dyeing her hair. The 36-year-old singer has ditched her trademark blonde locks and gone back to her natural hair color.

Since she’s gone brown, Ellie can now go out and not be constantly stopped by fans, although some mistake her for “someone from the telly”, reports Female First UK.

Speaking on Irish radio station FM104, she said: “I’m back to my natural colour. It’s brunette now, it’s my natural hair colour.”

Instead of people going, ‘That’s Ellie Goulding.’ Now I ask people questions about who I might be, because they recognize me but aren’t quite sure. I can’t tell if I prefer people to recognize me directly or with a conspiracy of who I might be, whether I might be someone from telly or something else, she added.

According to Female First UK, Ellie is set to release her new album ‘Higher Than Heaven’ later this month and the fact that she’s unveiling her fifth studio LP makes her look “old” and a muse. Makes you feel like an expert.

The album ‘Higher Than Heaven’ was set to be released on February 3, 2023 but on January 9, Ellie announced on Twitter that her fans would have to wait another month before they could get their hands on the album. She wrote, “To my wonderful fans- I regret to announce that we are delaying the release of Higher Than Heaven until March 24th. I know you all have been very patient with me but we have something exciting coming up. Opportunities have emerged. Behind the scenes I can’t wait to share with you in due course.”

The Pop star — who has a 22-month-old son Arthur with husband Casper Jopling, said: “I feel old! I feel old but that’s only because I had a baby a few years ago. I’m so happy. That I’m here making music. It’s what I’ve always wanted to do, and every day I feel lucky that I get to do what I love.”
