What to know about Riverdance
Riverdance, which exploded onto the scene with a now legendary performance at the 1994 Eurovision contest, is a two hour and 15 minute show with a single intermission.
The most modern iteration of Bill Whelan and Michael Flatley’s show – now more than 15,000 performances strong since its inception – includes new visual and audio effects.
“Veteran Riverdance followers will appreciate the stunning 3D animated backdrops that give each scene a new perspective – a realistic babbling brook or a haunting moonlit night,” according to Maryland Theater Guide.
And not every show just pays homage to Irish culture. There’s also Russian, flamenco, and NYC street dance thrown in for good measure.
