The contestant took Perry’s advice and pushed her voice to its wailing limit during her rendition of the Elton John classic – apparently impressing Perry, who continued the demands throughout the second song.

All three judges applauded Liebe’s second attempt, though she said she felt she would pass following Perry’s recommendations.

Last week, Perry broke down in tears after auditioning a survivor of the 2018 mass shooting at Santa Fe High School with an emotional performance of “Stone” by Whiskey Myers.

“Our country has failed our king!” Perry shouted. “That’s not right!”
