Maharashtra reports 46 new Covid-19 cases; active tally at 285

Maharashtra A state health department official said 46 new cases of coronavirus were reported on Sunday, taking the total number of infections to 81,37,870.
He said that after 35 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, the number of recoveries reached 79,89,162, while the number remained unchanged at 1,48,423.
The official said there are currently 285 active cases in the state, and the recovery rate has reached 98.17 percent and the fatality rate has reached 1.82 percent.
At least 4,579 swab samples were tested in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of tests conducted in the state to 8,64,64,853, he said.

Mumbai The number of 13 new infections rose to 11,54,513, including 19,747 deaths, the official said.
Mumbai circle accounted for 20 cases, followed by 18 in Pune, three in Nashik and one in Kolhapur, he said.
