Nine policemen killed, 13 injured in blast in Balochistan province of Pakistan

At least nine security personnel were killed and 13 others injured in a suicide attack in Pakistan’s restive Balochistan province on Monday.
According to the Express Tribune newspaper, the explosion occurred near the truck of the Balochistan Constabulary personnel on the Kambri bridge on the Quetta-Sibi highway.
Kutch Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mehmood Notzai said preliminary evidence suggests that it was a suicide attack.
However, the reality of the explosion will be known after the investigation.
He said that the bomb disposal team has reached the incident site and the area is being searched after the blast.
Notzai said that at least 9 jawans of Balochistan Constabulary were killed and 13 injured in the bomb attack in Bolan.

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
As soon as the incident was reported, the local administration and security forces reached the spot.
Balochistan Constabulary (BC) jawans were returning from duty at Sibi Mela when they were targeted. The report said that the truck overturned due to the intensity of the blast.
The dead bodies and injured workers were shifted to Sibi district, where they were given medical attention. The condition of some of the injured is said to be critical.
A division of the BC provincial police force that provides security at important events and sensitive areas, including prisons.
The blast took place during attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and areas bordering Afghanistan.
