Where to buy & schedule

The San Diego Padres have never won it all.

During the team’s 53 years of existence, they’ve been close — in 1984 and 1998, they made it to the World Series but came up short both times.

However, 2023 could be their year.

Bob Melvin’s team is truly stacked — it’s a team that lists stars Manny Machado, Fernando Tetis Jr., Juan Soto, Xander Bogaerts and Nelson Cruz on its roster.

We haven’t even gotten to the dirty pitching staff yet.

Their rotation includes Yu Darvish, Joe Musgrove and Blake Snell in the top three spots.

Let’s not forget closer Josh Hyder.

And while San Diego has a roster of potential All-Stars, surprisingly cheap tickets are still available to see the team live at Petco Park this season.

In fact, some Vivid seats are going for as little as $10 before fees.

It’s cheaper than a Bud Light at the ballpark (they’re going for $13 this season).

Plus, some games will feature nifty giveaways like Juan Soto bobbleheads, Trevor Hoffman jerseys and Opening Series hats.

We are just getting started. There are a lot of freebies at sports this season.

So, if you want to root for the loaded Padres live this season, here’s everything you need to know.

Padres news

The season hasn’t started yet, but the Padres have already made headlines.

After paying shortstop Manny Machado a $350 million salary, the team is now negotiating to lock up phenom center fielder Juan Soto and the nearly undrafted Josh Hader.

All the details on these potential re-signings can be found at the New York Post.

How to watch the Padres in 2023

In the off-chance that a trip to Petco Park isn’t in your near future, that’s not a problem.

You should be able to watch most games on the local Bailey Sports San Diego station.

Alternative options for select games include ESPN, Fox, Fox Sports 1 and TBS.

Whatever the case, always be sure to check your local listings.

For Padres fans outside the San Diego market, give MLB.tv One shot — you might find Machado, Soto, Bogaerts and company there.
