The hit Broadway musical “Funny Girl” starring Lea Michele — played by Barbra Streisand in the iconic Fanny Bryce role — is closing on Sept. 3, 2023, after opening in March 2022 with Benny Feldstein and Jane Lynch.
That means Mitchell and his co-stars Ramin Karimloo (CBS’s “Blue Bloods”), Jared Grimes (NBC’s “Manifest”) and Tovah Feldshuh (CW’s “Crazy”) at New York City’s August Wilson Theater just six months ago.
