Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said he would pray for the country on Holi as he claimed that do-gooders are being arrested while those who loot the country are on the run.

Addressing a digital press conference, he said he was concerned about the situation in the country.

“Everyone knows that government schools and hospitals are in a bad state… but two people – Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain – who have improved these government schools and hospitals are in jail,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that it is alarming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has jailed those who have done good for the country, while those who have looted it are being embraced.

“On Holi, I will meditate and pray to improve the bad situation in the country. If you also feel that the Prime Minister is not doing the right thing, you should pray for the country after celebrating the festival,” he said. .

Kejriwal said, “I am not worried about Sisodia and Jain being in jail. They are brave people who are ready to sacrifice their lives for the country. But the state of the country worries me.”

Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on February 26 in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case and sent to judicial custody on Monday. Jain was arrested by the ED in May last year in a money laundering case.

Both recently resigned from the cabinet.
